Episode 107 | This Part: Intimacy & MS (Realm 10)

Welcome to Realm 10 — the last Realm in our second ever intimacy series, “This Part: Intimacy & MS”. It’s just us today — no guests. Join us as we recap this exciting intimacy adventure.

Access intimacy, BDSM, pleasure activism, sexual superpowers, kink, trust, communication, surrender…we covered all the things over these past several weeks.

This series really opened our eyes to how broad the concept of intimacy is. It’s limitless, really.

We end the series with a discussion of Sara Youngblood Gregory’s VICE article “Chronic Pain Made My Sex Life Better, Not Worse.” It’s a perfect way to end and reframe the way we think about chronic illness, disability, and sex.

Chronic Pain and Sex, Intimacy, and Relationships

Illustration by Cathryn Virginia In my ongoing recovery, I’ve cultivated a strong sense of entitlement to finding pleasure in my body. Just like how I knew nothing about queer sex until I started having it, I knew nothing about having sex as a spoonie-someone living with chronic pain-until I became one.
